iMessage was originally designed for Apple devices. It’s quite easy to learn how to connect your iMessage to your MacBook or other Apple device, as well how to download iMessage onto a new Mac. These functions are often performed automatically when you’re setting up a new Apple device.

As a Windows user, you may have wondered if you can use iMessage on a PC and send iPhone messages from a PC if you don’t own Apple computer. The answer is yes!

Performing these functions with a PC require a few different steps. You are still able to get texts from iPhones to your PC. However, there are few workarounds you’ll need to implement if you do not own an Apple computer. The Whiz Cells has put together this informative blog about how to access Apple iMessage online and download iMessage on Windows if you own a PC.

Guide to Accessing iMessage on Windows

PC users have likely experienced the convenience and the versatility of iMessage with their iPhones; they also may have wondered how to get this app on their computer or their Windows-based tablet. As a result, searches like “Can you get iMessage on Windows 10?” and “How can I get iPhone messages on my PC?” are quite common. We’re here to tell you that this is an option through the following methods.

Why Use iMessage on a PC?

iMessage is more than a text messaging app. It comes with features such as digital touch, P2P money transfer, GIFs, superior encryption and a wide variety of emojis.

iMessage was a key selling point of the iOS system. It first utilized the iMessage feature in 2011. Since this time, multi-device functionality and connectivity among Mac computers, the iPad and the Apple Watch have grown.

So, how does iMessage work between these devices? Put simply, you could start a conversation on your phone, continue it while working from your desktop and have it in the background while using your Apple Watch.

Unlike other messaging apps for Windows computers, iMessage stands above the competition thanks to its iCloud technology. This means that users can engage in one-on-one to multi-individual conversations anywhere a connected Apple device is used. Yet, iMessage has a downside: its functionality and usability have depended on owning an Apple device. Until recently, this has meant that many users perform their work on a PC and then hold conversations on their iPhones.

You probably already have a messaging app for Windows built in. However, many people today may want to download iMessage to their Windows PC laptops or other Windows devices. This is because they might prefer to use PCs due to their versatility and multiple features; they also may have Windows computers for work or for school. Whatever reason you’ve decided to use iMessage on a different platform, you’re able to get iOS messages on your PC.

Getting Apple iMessage for PC usage and learning how to access iPhone messages on Windows comes down to implementing a few tools and tricks. Read on to discover three ways to gain access to iMessage in Windows.

A jailbroken device allows the user root access within the operating system. In turn, this allows users to install software that’s not available through the iOS App Store. When considering the jailbreak method to download iMessage for Windows, it’s important to understand that although jailbreaking is not an illegal function, Apple views the action as a violation of its end-user licensing agreement.

  6. Make sure you set a strong password.
  7. You’re all set and can now log into iMessage remotely. Simply open any browser on your Windows PC and enter the IP address followed by the port number.
